Robert Wickens is giving up his Mercedes DTM ride to come Indycar racing. The last Canadian pairing was way back, with Paul Tracy and Greg Moore in the Players cars.
I shall watch with interest. Wickens was a reasonable player in the DTM, so i hope he can do something here. Hinchcliff won at Long Beach this year, then proceeded to do pretty much nothing of note for the rest of the season. Odd, I thought.

Cool.
I think you mean Tracy and Carpentier. Prior to that it was Tagliani and Carpentier.
I read the statement and didn't question it... You are correct.
I hope they do well.
Since Mercedes is leaving DTM after next season, this is a pre-emptive move. He'd be looking for a ride next season regardless.
I also think that when he tested the cars twice earlier this season, he thought they were a lot of fun and now that he's older he's probably thinking of moving back closer to home and starting a family, so IndyCar is a way to do that.

If I could photoshop, I'd make a Tim Horton's Indycar.

If one goes full Canuck, they will never win a race with all that “No, after you”
