Well, i just hit 18psi on the MX6. (Yes, it's stupidly quick)
My new issue: The coupler from the last pipe to the throttle body is an autozone brand Spectre reducer, and keeps popping off.
I need a 3" (i think) down to 2.5". Where do you all like to buy your couplers, and what holds?
Thanks!
Samco, should have what you need, as far as where to get them, no help from me.
On our 2007 Challenge car, we used a plumbing pipe reducer from Home Depot. Cheap fix.

I've used those in the past, but from my experiences, they typically don't hold 15+psi.... I've blown holes straight through them.
Is there a certain brand or composition i should be looking for?
I may just be able to get by with a better clamp...

You just need to bead the ends of the pipe. You can either weld beads on the ends or use some old vice grips, a welder, and a grinder to make your own tool.
Can't you use a steel exhaust pipe reducer? Then you can bead it and use straight hose.
My brother used semi truck coolant hose on his GLH-S, it was seriously sturdy.
If you'd look in the ads in your GRM you would see that Hose Techniques has what you need. They've been a GRM supporter for years. I ran 30+ psi in my turbo car with their IC reducers and couplers with V-Bands and never had any problems. And that was on a top-mount at that!

Bead the pipes, install T-Bolts. DONE.
There's a couple different sources for couplings I'm using in my Dart buildup, but the best quality ones, I picked up here:

They're also a GRM advertiser and I've met the guys from that company on a couple occasions.
+1 on beading the ends of your piping. Probably wont need new couplers if you do it.
I "beaded" my old intercooler pipes by carefully tacking coat hanger wire around the steel intercooler pipe. Often, the hanger would burn away, but it would leave a nice edge to clamp against. That, and t-bolt clamps never failed.
Thanks guys.... i think i have all my info now.
I'll take care of it this week and report back. Maybe even with pictures!
