Iowa Speedway 24-Hour

Anybody else going to be at Newton, IA this weekend for the 24 hour ChumpCar race?

Red and yellow Alfetta is back after head-gasket failure at Road America in April.

I just shipped stuff to a company in Newton.........but I have absolutely no desire to ever go to iowa....

My friends dad may be there in an e30 from South Dakota. Last year he set fastest lap time of the race in the wee hours of the morning...

Seems like there was a SD E30 at Road America... ChumpFaces or something like that. They were up there with the fastest of them.

Yep that was them. The guy I know is a fantastic driver and I'm assuming the rest of the team is too. He campaigned the e36 CSL for BMW in the One Lap back in the day.

I didn't know they had a road course! Neat little place. I guess they'll throw a chicane on the oval so that they don't end up with a river of fluids at the end of the front straight?
