Girls do tend to love "girl's cars," if you're into that sort of thing.

No joke. I always laugh when guys worry about driving a "girl's car." Like, what, you want to attract men? My Miata got more very attractive women to pay attention to me and ride with me than my full size Bronco. The Bronco was very manly. But I prefer to share a ride with a lovely lady than the guy at the NAPA down the street.

Well, I think calling a car a girl's car also intends to convey that it is a homosexual man's car too. That would be the problem.

Plenty of gay guys ride Harleys and drive big trucks. More, I would guess, than drive Miatas.

HEY, that's LBC to you, sir. ALL caps. And, yea, we know you're kidding, Oh boy do we know it at times. But that's one of the reasons I've owned them.

Agreed. It is hard to look straight on a Harley.

Or like you're not overcompensating in a 911.

In reply to rogerbvonceg:

Agreed. You are pretty much screwed no matter what car you buy if you are overly concerned what people think. Somebody has a problem with everything. Might as well give up and buy what you like.

I sold both of my Porsches and bought a Miata not too long ago. Everybody says it is girly.

Agreed, and I love 911s, Miatas, and all sorts of other socially awkward vehicles.

I agree.. if I worried about what people think.. I would not DD a 318ti.. or a classic Saab 900.. or be working on an old Fiat.

I would be in a boring old appliance

park yours next to mine and we'll take a poll of passers-by... </bloc Agreed! Very nice, I had a maroon '71 GT6+ Have you put Dynamat in the footwells? They were always a bit warm

yeah, actually the floors are fiberglass anyhow, with sound/heatproofing (as is the transmission tunnel, footwells, and floor behind the seats.

I don' t drive it much on HOT days (black on black is hot regardless of the engine!), nor do I do long hauls (usually do hour jaunts in the local "woodsy" roads with lots of turns).....

Didn't drive it much last summer/fall since I have to rebuild both rear hubs/bearings, which promises to be a big/pain in the ass job....

Yeah, the Spitfire is making noises back there, so I'll be doing the same. Yes, and those "woodsy" roads are fun indeed. It's fun when you look UP at a bicyclist and say HI--for some reason they find it startling....coasting up to them helps, of course

mine has a header and monza exhaust, so it's loud no matter what. No sneaking up on anyone

I have to take my rear end apart anyhow to put in the Canley CV axles!
