I've been keeping paper logs on my engine and transmission rebuilds, engine build specs, pre-race checklists, etc.

Is there an iPhone/iPad app out there that would allow me to do this online and/or on my phone?

I've got an app called Carminder that keeps track of oil changes and regular maintenance for my street cars, but it's too rudimentary for what I need.

Barring a specialized app, is there a good, easy to use, spreadsheet or database program that will allow me to set up my own logs that will work on both iPhone and iPad?

Attached is a picture of one of the forms I've been using for reference. Yeah, I know, I'm old school, but at least I'm trying!

I don't know if it will help you specifically, but specapp.cc and wheelwell.com have the ability to track parts and such.

I would create a goggle document, text file or spreadsheet. These can be accessed from any mobile or table or computer.

Hmm I have been playing with trying to build droid apps at work. You know just learning and all.

Why don't you guys tell me what you would want in a tracker and I will work on getting it together? Heck if you have more forms like the one above for reference it would be a cake walk to get things together.

I came to suggest Excel. Or even get a cheap version of QuickBooks and set each project up as a company. Bonus points for having vendor information saved and scans of receipts and buildsheets/specs

Google docs lets you create surveys and forms, the output of which are entries in a spreadsheet. You could try making each one of those a field in a form (it allows drop downs, bullet points, checkboxes etc) and see if thats usable on your phone then you could just submit the form essentially and it would be saved in the spreadsheet/database of responses

You'll need to log in to post.
