2020 Chevy Silverado HD.
I can't wait for the inevitable ebay personalized Chevrolet replacement bars to hit the roads. There's enough real estate on there to write an entire brodoser manifesto.
Oh, and some people will use the truck for it's intended purpose.
I do have to admit 910 ft-lbs of torque out of the diesel, while being emissions compliant, is pretty neat.
And I thought RAM tailgates were bad...
But what’s my personal taste got to do with anything? I won’t push my “I like subtle and understated” agenda on the rest of the world.
It's bad enough on big trucks, but I think it looks even worse on cars. Lexus, I'm talking to you....

It's like an arms-race of ugly.

I rather have a F450 Super Duty, 4 door, Dually.
"It's like an arms-race of ugly." Can I get an amen?
Wow, thats berkeleying hideous
Styling by Wurlitzer is common on all trucks these days. Local Ford salesman couldn't tell me if I could get high level trim with the Ford F150 work truck predominantly black front end. When he asked why ,I told him all the chrome front ones were butt ugly. He didn't seem impressed.......

With trucks it makes them look like they're into foot binding. Here's the 3/4 and full front view.
I guess I just have a hard time coming to terms with how big modern trucks really are I suppose. I still think of my K1500 as "big."
I feel bad for making fun of the 3rd gen Rams now, and I usually never feel bad about picking on Chrysler.

Maybe with that big grille, it won't blow the engine up when you put a plow on the front of the diesels. For those not in the know, when the L5P variant of the DuraMax arrived in 2017, you could no longer put a plow on the front end and operate over 45mph or it set a check engine light for charge air cooler lack of efficiency. Talking to GM Technical Assistance Center revealed that they had had a number of cases of trucks blowing up their engine due to extended operation with the plow on.

Chevy has a face problem lately. Must be everyone rushing to copy the Toyota Predator face?
Future us will not look back kindly upon the current styling trends.
As a GM truck guy, I just can’t anymore.

I can't wait to hear all the salesman at work try and BS me and themselves about how good they look. Just like all the lies they themselves and customers about the new Blazer. "It's really cool. It looks like a Traverse and a Camaro had a baby" was an exact quote I overheard.

I now have a mental image of this grill with perimeter bubble lights...

So my dad still has an 01 which is the generation that changed the truck world with BIG RIG STYLING etc but looking at that thing today I just think "man, this thing has no hard edges, it's curvy, and it's a lot smaller than all the current trucks" which is a total paradigm shift from 'the 1994 Dodge Ram is beefiest mf'ing truck on the market with BIG RIG STYLING'. lol

I see Kia Kona when I look at the front of it. Which is also berkeleying hideous
I know they do stuff like this to "stand out" from the rest of the market, but yeesh. That thing looks like it pulled the ugly tree down on itself and got stuck in the branches.

In 1994, I was 13 and I had this poster on my bedroom wall:
It was nothing I had ever seen before. I feel like it kicked off the "big rig" styling trend in modern pickups.
That is well and truly heinous. Worse than the 1500 Silverado which is worse than the Camaro. At least I don't like GM so I don't have to feel bad criticizing it.
Also, WTF is up with those door mirrors? They look ungainly, mostly due to the way they mount.
In reply to stanger_missle :
It did kick off the styling trend, ruining the full-sized truck market in the process.
