As with most competitors I ran out of time with my $2010 project, as I have shown in other threads the motor threw a rod right through the block (D16z6) I am starting to think it's a good thing I ran out of time and didn't get to finish this.
Twin Charged - Twin intercooled.. not enough time- but it would have been an epic failure of hindenburg proportions
Epic fail or not, I'm still curious... Tell us more!
Did you retard the timing under boost? If not, that'll kill the rods every time.

It's a bell blower from Zoomiata (member here) wifes car. It may or may not have needed bearings.
the SC fed into a eagle talon intercooler - then into a 16G turbo with 2 wastegates. Much like VW's new Twincharged setup. It would have fit , both intercoolers were mounted , the blower was mounted to the head without issue by using the mount meant for the miata with minimal modification - it would have stuck through the hood.
the blower would have run backwards from it's original purpose - but after a few calls to whipple they said I would only lose about 15% of the efficiency The belt would have been tricky , but not impossible by any means.
I ended up trading the blower for a moates Ostrich to tune the civic. Only paid $50 for the blower.
Wait, that's not OEM?!?!?
when i was in school a group did that with a 305 on a dyno, pair of turbos and a blower on top. when the turbos spooled up it split open a cylinder wall. cool project, wish it couldve shown up in gainesville
