BullE36 M3. I've seen three different Rangers, one I-beam and two double A-arm, have 4v's and 2v's in them. It really isn't any harder then a 302 swap, but the perception kills the idea. Mounts, you MAY have to make, but they are NOT that difficult once you figure out where to place the motor. Headers, you have to make your own, period. Besides wiring up the swap, the water/oil plate has to be swapped out for the Moroso piece, and you have to fab a new steering shaft from the firewall to the box/rack, but you can do that with factory parts.

probably easier to just put it in the back.. and infinitely cooler..

If you get lucky enough to find an early-'91 Town Car, they had the Romeo 4.6 modular with - oddly enough - a Windsor SBF pattern. Might be like finding a needle in a haystack though, so it may not be an option.

Else, I've seen a few SFI bellhousings that will put a T5 behind a 4.6. Although for the cost you may as well put it towards a T-45, they're only getting easier to find.

This is the truck I was referring eariler. They started with a 4.6 out of a marauder then went to a cobra supercharged mill.

302's a so cheap and plentiful, with cheap and plentiful aftermarket parts... I'd be hard pressed to recommend a 4.6. Just my .02. The Ranger 5.0 swap is soooo well documented it seems like the easy button.
