but the 2ZZ-GE engine is one of the most pleasant motors I've ever worked on. Certain things are a little hard to get but everything is pretty easy to disassemble and laid out in a semi logical manner.

Example: I had to pull the alternator to get at the timing OCV and filter but even that was a 20 minute process once I had enough leverage to move the belt tensioner.

I could see it being difficult in an MR2, but I'd likely just remove the OCV screens and take my chances. I sort of want one with that swap now.

My problem with Toyota has always been that after 200k miles of everyday use you cant pull em out of a junkyard and add 15 psi of boost without them blowing up. That and they seem out to kill me...but that may be more related to the first complaint.

I've only owned one Toyota, and I love it. It has the 2UZ-FE in it, and it is very easy to work on.
