I have a few pinholes at the back of my Ducati fuel tank. Will JB Weld work??
For a while. I'd get something made specifically for fuel. JB may have a fuel safe variant these days.
I went through this with my Girlfriends Kia Rio, not wanting to spend $1200 on a new gas tank I used JB Weld. My research showed that you need to keep the gas away from it until it is fully set (24 hours) and then you are good, that was 2 years ago (with 2 winters) and no leaks so far. I'd imagine if it does leak it will be rust again rather then the epoxy failing.

used it to fill in ports on the intake manifold then report it port match due to franken engine. plenty of fuel/oil exposure- its fine

This has been my experience as well. Used it to fill pin holes in a gas tank on an old dirt bike project, held up fine for a few months, then started seeping.
Gorilla tape to hold it while you seal with Caswell platings gas tank sealer. once sealer sets up peel off the tape.
APEowner said:JB weld and Permatex both make an epoxy specifically for gas tank repair.
They make one specifically for ETOH fuels. The old stuff DOES NOT WORK it will just turn to tar and ruin everything.
POR-15 sells a fuel tank repair kit. It was used to seal tank on my 2002 over 15 years ago. No problems. I don't know if they make the product in size appropriate for motorsickle tanks
