Goddam fat fingers..... anyhow,
Spotted this on my commute home today. Two Gladiators completely burned up at the front end. I thought maybe it might be something related to a fire at a dealer or something but they both had regular personal plates on them, so I assume they are owned. Anyhow I thought it was odd to see two car-b-Qs on something so new. Is this something that is happening with the gladiators?

This happened to the ram trucks years ago when they brought out the new bodystyle.
Good to see the tradition continues.
A quick search revealed nothing particularly consistent. A smattering of transmission leaks resulting in fire, complaints about insufficient heat shielding, steering anomalies, driveshaft failure. I mean, it's a Jeep, right?
It's a Jeep thing, you wouldn't understand.

Yeah, how do you find that needle in a haystack?
In reply to STM317 :
And both of these had Virginia plates and were in Virginia, so that suggests to me that there are probably more than 33 of them that had this happen.... Since this is hardly a giant state nor one where Jeeps are super common

13 field reports + 35 warranty claims as of March 2020. Probably more by now.
Perhaps VA got some of the first trucks, and those are now hitting mileage where the pressure plates are failing?

33000 Wranglers and Gladiators have been recalled for bad pressure plates that can fracture and cause fires
Technically yes, a clutch explosion can cause a fire. Normally it leaves you crawling out of the car, and the emergency responders have to go back inside to see if there's anything left of your feet that is worth reattaching.
Those two look more like they were parked too close to a campfire or something. Assuming a Gladiator ever gets used for more than grocery-getter duty. The insides of the vehicles aren't burnt out.
They look like rental spec ones
There was an issue with 4cylinder hybrid JLs that sat too long before going to dealers letting the battery get too low in voltage, which caused them catch fire. Ended up burning a bunch of them in storage lots, but I'm not sure if the gladiator gets the 4cyl hybrid Powertrain
It is getting a PHEV powertrain soon, which will be very similar under the hood and much more different under the cab.
