Has anybody heard of Journeyman brand drill presses before? I found a used one for sale locally. It's a floor mount model. There's not much info on them. I was expecting China, but tag says California.

There's almost nothing online about Journeyman tools. I did find this photo of newer looking Journeyman drill that says "Made in Taiwan for G.L. Company, Carson, CA". The company is no longer in business. I'm guessing that they imported tools. I suppose that it's possible that this pre-dates that and it might have been made here, but I doubt it. I'm still going to take a look at it.
This is NOT the drill press that I am interested in:
Had a visually identical one in my woodshop for a decade. Damn good press. Mine was made in California, but didn't have a brand.
Check for play and runout. Buy if its solid.

Not on Craigslist. Asking $350, but that seems a little steep to me.
I'm going to check it out first thing tomorrow morning.
Taiwan > China
Can't read the speed chart shown but for metals 200 rpm or preferably less especially w/ larger bits and hole saws. 5/8 capacity is good or use reduced shanks.
Looks good.
Looks identical to one in my shop now. Snapped the handle that tightens the clamp for raising and lowering the table. Run out is an issue. Recently the light decided to make a series of crispy sizzling sounds and then burn out. Got it for next to nothing at a yard sale and it makes holes in things. What more can I expect from it?
I was gonna say that it looks just like my alltrade branded early 80's import which, while still in service is pretty much crap.
Also the rack retaining collar being locked in place way above the rack itself is a sign of someone not sure how it is supposed to work.
Looks old as dirt which is GOOD. I'll take 40 year old machine tools over today's HF stuff almost any day of the week
