The Toyota Previa mini van SC14 supercharger- Anybody have any experience with them? Are they reasonably adaptable to other engines? Thanks for any info.

They have been used as an upgrade over the stock SC12 on the 4AGZE. If you don't use it, you might be able to find an MR2 or Corolla owner who is interested.

They don't mount directly to the engine manifold (since they are driven off the front axle and the engine is mid-mounted), so you don't have to worry about the mounting like on an M-series Eaton unit (ie: it has it's own manifolding to go to the charge piping). This makes it easy to adapt to other engines.

Down sides are that they are fairly small (definitely for a 4 cylinder), can't be spun as fast as the Eatons, and don't have much (any?) aftermarket for smaller pulleys.

One nice thing is that the pulleys, at least on some units, have a clutch so you could engage/disengage them. I always wanted to build a twin-charged car with one. I'd design the S/C pulley on the engine, such that the supercharger would reach it's redline (~10k rpm IIRC) at pretty low engine rpm, then disengage and let the turbo take over for the higher rpm.

If you're looking to grab parts from one of the Previa S/Cs, the intercoolers are decent (though small-ish).

Somebody ran a switched one on a Lemons car. Worth a google search.
