I'm literally sick. He brought so much joy and fun to the automotive community. And only 55!
Rest in peace, Ken.
Jesus, that's awful. And tomorrow he was posting the video of him and his daughter finishing the project Audi that they were building for her first car. That's really gut-wrenching
Just saw the news and, wow.
I saw him in action at the Daytona rallycross events. He signed autographs well past everyone else had left.
Damn. My nephew and I were just talking about him a few hours ago. I gave him the 2022 Rally car shirt of his for Christmas. I wasn't always a fan but totally appreciated what he did for the world.
Bummer, though hopefully he went out going full-bore like he did in everything else. I won't pretend to have known him other than saying Hi a few times in the paddock at various rallies over the past few years (and parking the rally car right next to the Cossie in NEFR a few years back at Parc), but overall seemed like a good guy and hardcore competitor. A big loss for the sport, a true superstar.
RIP. Dude did what most of us would have wanted to do had we made it big. Then he learned self promotion and made having fun into a massive business. Great and fun ambassador for the automotive lifestyle.
Funny way to go. Never heard of anyone dying hillclimbing a sled before. It's as odd as schumacher's accident.
Wow! My condolences to his family.
I joked to my 20 year old daughter earlier that I failed as a father cause I didn't help her restore an Audi at age 16. Then this? Blows my mind.

I never met him, but an old rallycross/rally co-driver friend did. He had a little kid who wanted an autograph, so they waited in line for-ev-er to get the kid his autograph. When they got to the table, Ken just looked at them and said "What are you doing in line? Get over on this side of the table!" So FriendJr. spent the rest of the autograph session hanging out with him. That made his day, month, and year!
