Caught a good part of the Koni Challenge on Speed this past weekend - lots of dirt flying everywhere!

What's the scoop on the ST (Street Tuner I think) cars? The ST Cobalts looked pretty tough out there - what's the typical ST formula or specs?

And the GrandAm side of things should get real interesting next year or so when the Camaro comes to take on the 'Stang and P & \\M cars.

Yeah, that was a messy race. We did a piece on the Koni Challenge Cobalts a little while ago, and we have a story on the ICY Subarus scheduled for the next issue. They basically start as production cars, but the allowed mods can vary depending on the particular make and model. For example, the Legacy has to run a bone-stock engine. Everyone runs a spec Hoosier.

Yeah. I was with Freedom Autosport based out of Tallahassee last year, left just around the time we got the KONI cars finished. Tires are a compound a little bit harder than a Hoosier R6.

Rob at ROAR Racing runs the RX8s in ST - great guy and his crew is a lot of fun to hang around with - the cars are surprisingly stock.

Every car has different specs unlike say the SCCA Solo2 rules. Where every car follows same rules.

In the Koni Challenge some cars have air restrictors, some allowed certain weight while others stay stock, etc..
