I cannot find a site for Kosei K1 wheel dimensions. I'm considering using 15x8's in a 4x100 pattern, Kosei made them for E30 BMWs (but no longer)and it appears they still produce them for some FWD Hondas. Anyone know where to find that information?

I didn't know they ever made an E30 fitment rim. I had a set and they were like any typical Japanese/Chinese aftermarket rim - with a giant bore and offset, so you could ring/space them to fit anything with the bolt pattern. I believe mine were 72mm bore, ET38, 17x7.5. I had custom hubcentric 15mm spacers cut to adapt, fit perfect.

You'll find that centering ring technique isn't restricted to Japanese/Chinese wheels. Most manufacturers do that now. The offset of 4x100 wheels tends to be in the +45 range, because that's what most of the cars using those wheels tend to require. The E30 is the exception.

If you call Tire Rack, they might be able to help you with specific information about the K1 sizes that are available.

It seems the 15x8 is no longer produced in the offset they used for the E30 but the 15x7 is. The E30 forums seem to think the 15x8 is a rarity but no one has put down any offset/backspace numbers.

The current 15x8 is supposed to be a Honda fitment. But if I do go with them I won't be using them on a Honda. That sorta throws people. I might give TR a buzz this week.

What car do you need it for?

TR lists a 15x8 for Miatas with a +35 offset. Select a NB "Miata for SCCA STR class"

Thanks! That's what I needed to know! I guess I wasn't searching correctly, I could find 15x8's but no other information. I am considering putting the Jensenator on 15x8's, it has a hodgepodge suspension with Miata uprights n' other weird stuff. If my notes are correct, it looks like I would need to run spacers to get the scrub radius right.

I would still make a phone call. Tire Rack has a lot more different ways of looking at their database than we do.

You can get the TRMotorsport C3 in an E30 fitment. 15x8 +20 if memory serves.

But can you fit 15x9s?

Yup, also listed for an STR Miata. Also cheaper and lighter.

Kieth is right though, TR can look through the database in ways we can only dream of. I wish they would open up a different method of searching than approved car fitments :(

I read on one of the e30 forums the 15x8 e30 K1 was available again, but may be limited.

Probably doesn't help you because it's the wrong bolt pattern, but the 5x120 15x8 K1 is the hot 15" wheel setup for the E30 M3. ET22, still available at Tire Rack last time I checked... They did go out of production for a while before they came back in stock...
