I was browsing through the latest GRM mag and found a new wheel for sale over at Tire rack, these Kosei K2R wheels. Anyone have a picture of them mounted up? They must be geared towards spec racers since they are only available in 15x7. Reminds me of a Focus RS wheel.
That is a surprisingly clean looking 5-spoke wheel.
I wonder what the weight will end up being.
Looks like a nice wheel. +25/38 offset, might grab a set for the Jetta if the weight is reasonable. Totally geared toward SM; flat face, recessed lugs and valve stem for race rubbing.
Kosei's been putting out some nice light wheels of late. I have high hopes.

That looks pretty good! I've been looking for a 5-spoke 15" wheel for my MSM. So far, the only other one I've found is the D-Force.

Nice! It's stamped "Made in Japan" too! They quality should be high. Many are made in Indonesia which isn't too bad either.

Of course, no 4x114.3 fitment.
Not a canoe, but stumbled on these again.. .currently 28% off ($89/piece) on Tire Rack.

I think they'd look good on my mk2 Golf. Anybody end up running these?

But not particularly light at 14.2lbs? Would have thought they would be 12-13lbs max. My 17" Kosei K1 only weighed 15lbs.
Isn't there a minimum weight for SM wheels? That might be your problem.
I bought Kosei K8Rs last year in 15x9 and they are 12.7 lbs each.

There is, but it's 13 pounds.
I love a clean, simple 5 spoke wheel.
Speaking of Kosei wheels anyone need a set of 17x9 K8R with a +48 offset 5x114.3 in gray?

Price and Pix? A little more offset than I need but that's what spacers are for right?

When will Kosei learn that they could sustain themselves almost completely by making K1s in more than 4x100?

Ah, the K1. Such a great wheel: light, good looking, shot-peened, heat-treated and a fair price. I had one of the first sets imported. Yes, K1s would look perfect on every car.
