I certainly can't think of anything good to say about it, but kudos to them for making enough money to buy and completely devalue expensive things, I guess.

Edit: It reminds of the Enzo I used to see in Miami with big aftermarket wheels on it.

meh. most rich guy huge money toys never get driven anywhere near potential anyways. if it's primary purpose is to exploit riches and draw attention, it's doing it's job just fine.

Don't they have some sort of adjustable suspension from the factory to clear speedbumps? I typically don't like "stanced" cars but a Lamborghini seems appropriate somehow. At least on air it retains some functionality...stupid low static drops are just ... Wel, stupid.

The former has been around forever and will likely be around as long as cars are.

The latter... hopefully soon... but that style has been around for awhile as well. Seems it was realyl popular with water-cooled VW's some years ago. I've never understood that one...

They have an "Air-lift" system that lifts the front end to clear speed bumps and drive ways. Good for up to around 10-15mph before it automatically lowers itself.

Oh yea, the stock clutch is only good for 50 or so miles with any wheel over the size of 20" on any Lambo. Bye bye!!

My understanding is the TUV regs allowed the wheel to be outside the wheel well, but not the tire.

Not sure of the truth in that statement though.

Please tell me that's just while it's statically sitting, not driving. If it's while driving I'm going to hammer my head in with a broken shock mount...

I'm sorry, but that looks awesome. The whole point of a Lamborghini is the look at me factor, and this definitely delivers. That first shot reminds me of a land speeder...

And yes that's just while it's sitting. That's the whole point of bags, you retain driving functionality.

It also allows you to run the widest possible rim.. but still get the tyre to clear the wheel well... basically, it lets you tell the world you have 10inch wide rims on your golf.. but in reality, you still only have enough tyre to fit on a 6 inch wide rim

The simplest explanation is usually the best; so I have to agree that it is driven by the need for clearance with wide wheels and the offsets they tend to run.

I also have a suspicion that someone was looking at the wheel and tire packages on race cars and decided to exaggerate what they saw there.

well.. like any trend.. it probably started with one guy who wanted to run a rim wider than what would fit beneath the fenders of his car.. so to make it fit, he put a narrower tyre on it...

Couple of years later.. you have a full blown fad.

Personally, I do not care for it. Some of the cars look pretty good.. most look hidious. I think Lambos look hidious stock, so seeing one 'stanced out' does not bother me

There are a bunch of "stanced" cars on the E30 forums... not my cup of tea, but whatever... most of them drive their cars more than I do, so who am I to criticize?

Well, my problem is, the current generation of "gearheads" (which are my age-ish) are destroying these cars. Not Lambos, but just good cars in general. I can no longer find a good, decent 89-91 E30 because the market has sky rocketed on them. Dont even get me started with the S13/14 crowd. The VW/Audi crowd is one i have dealt with for 3 years and God i never want to do that again. Instead of doing any type of research now and days, they just listen to their buddies, who they think they know everything. So now, they think its perfectly ok to throw 1000cc injectors and a 3" MAF on a bone stock 1.8t. When it runs like E36 M3, they would call me and chew me out because "oh, my friend did it and he knows alot about cars."

Now, with the stancing crowd, you are putting unebelievable load on your wheel bearings and control arms with the amount of camber and offset you are running. I happen to know a "Stancer" that had an E46 330Ci that looked and drove like complete garbage. He had so much rear camber and such stupid offset, his rear lower control arm snapped in half at 60mph!!! He later joked about it saying "yea I took it to BMW and showed the Parts and Service Manager and they said they had never seen one do that before..." Yea, because you are a moron and ran an crap-load amount on an arm that isnt meant to be stressed that much.

This current crowd, like i said in a previous thread, scares the crap out of me. Everyday I come to work, I feel myself getting stupider and stupider, listening to the kids around me talking about "tuning a car" and using the descriptive words like "baller as F**" and "tts" and "Poke it, Stance it, Stretch it, done" for cars. GOD!!!!!!!!!!

I hate to say it, but the Lambo looks good. The lettering can go though. Can anyone guess where this car is? Look at the plate...

I really don't see the big deal. Lamborghini makes outrageous , over the top cars. Somebody bought one and did outrageous , over the top mods to one. To each their own. Wasn't my money.
