I thought the Mazda6 didn't have a true, all-time awd. I don't recall the percentages so forgive these numbers if they're way off. I thought it only ever gave 15% of power to the rear wheels and only when the fronts were severely traction starved.

Someone please correct me.

Nevermind, found it. Nothing like the internet to give you conflicting information

I think the internet loves to bash systems like the Mazdaspeed 6, R32 etc since every one knows that Scoobies permanent AWD system is the best no argument. I call total BS. In 99.9% of cases i.e. real world driving these on demand systems work really really well.

And now I mention the R32 I absolutely love the previous gen (Mk IV???) R32's, not the new ones but the older ones. Man they are amazing cars. If a) I hadn't been looking for a new car and b) I hadn't wanted something in the Ford family I would have been all over one. My neighbor has one and it's a really really nice car to drive.

You're already covered, but i just thought i'd point out that i have it on good authority that the MS6 WILL do nasty axis donuts as long as you want it to.

It's a VERY capable car, and if i even sack up to buy a newer car, it's on my short list. I was in love within 2 minutes of my first test drive. It's quick, the interior is GREAT, it's comfy, it handles pretty well, and the torque is RIDICULOUS. 4th gear pull 40-80 was one of the most surprising events i think i've ever had in a car. Not the fastest, but certainly the most surprising.

MS6, my wife summed it up the best after we got back from test driving it back to back with the MS3. MS6 first then MS3. We got out of the 3 and the dealer asked how she liked it "I'm 40 not 20" Nuff said. The 3 is a heck of a car, but just too harsh and unrefined for my over 40 butt. As I said the C30Vs MS6 was very very close.

I'm fairly certain the MS6 will put at least 50% to the rear if needed. I can tell you from working start at an autoX that those things will leave the line in a hurry when launched in anger. surprising is probably the right word; lots of revs, then it was just GONE. good stuff.

I'd call that pretty grass roots, and the best kind of fun!

But you could also do that in the Mazda...

Sounds like you're not keeping-up on maintenance.....
