It's hard to believe that's a Lincoln. Man.

If this really is an issue that needs to be worried about just take the name plates off the car.
had the previous wagon IS300 Sport Cross.... just about useless as a wagon
I've seen adverts that this is the baby LFA... great... give me a baby V10 then

The thing about a sportx is that if you park it next to a matrix, the matrix is longer (albeit slightly). Its actually quite compact, but they look long because of the proportions.
Saw a blurb on a news site that the toyota chairman considers this car as a response to the criticism that Lexus cars are well made but unexciting.
Makes me wonder if the engine will have character similar to the v10 in the LFA - favoring excitement over monster torque. Would be kind of a risky move for a 6 series fighter.
I know it's in a different class that won't really be cross shopped, but even though I like it it's not as pretty as the new Q60 Infiniti IMO
I dunno.....this new Lexus, or the new Buick? They are both good looking, status machines
If i'm after a good looking status machine i'd rather have a whole Model S than the front half of a Model S grafted onto a gas-engine Buick.
Its still a step forward for Buick.

Numbness to 467 horsepower? Say what you will about "______ these days," but we've got it pretty good in the present when 467 hp is mediocre.

To be clear I don't give a damn what badge is on the front, but I'm also not the target market for these cars. Those who are drawn to these types of machines, are also likely to care more about the badge and it's "cachet".
To me, it's a luxury GT machine, and as such, it should provide a cozy comfortable ride. It should also have an abundance of power. It should not have a "track ready" stiff suspension, as basically no one will track either of these cars. This is something Lexus has yet to figure out, as all of their "sports" cars (besides the unobtainium FLA) ride way too stiffly for their purpose. Hopefully Lexus figures this out---as this new car is pretty darn sexy. IMHO

Everybody's making a big deal about a possible RWD 400HP twin turbo V6 Buick "concept" coupe. Meanwhile Infiniti is showing a production ready Q60, with a 400HP twin turbo V6 RWD (or AWD) coupe.
Did nobody notice the new Q60?
It seems to be everything people want the Buick to be... except you can actually go buy the Infiniti (soon).
^^^ I'm sure it's a nice car, but I find the Buick much more attractive, and that's a big deal in this segment. The styling of the Infinity is my least favorite of the three listed here. To be fair though, I think they are all better looking than the BMW 6 series.
But again......it isn't me they are aiming at, I'm not old or wealthy enough. Project engineers were aiming for me when they designed the FRS and ND Miata----- and they hit a bullseye on both counts.
I really liked the early 00's G coupes from Infiniti. The styling was just right...boulevard brawler with a swanky bravado to it. The new Infiniti offerings look too...I dunno...gimmicky and commercial. The older coupes looked like they were designed to be great cars, and form followed function. The newer ones look plastic-y, and like all the performance budget went to dressing them up. They don't have that effortless look to em anymore.
At least they finally got fender gap right. For a while, they looked like the suspension setup was being engineered for Baja runs...

It wasn't the length inside... but crappy accessibility... My Corolla can carry far more... far more easily
The new ls concept looks pretty damn good too, I'm thrilled that toyota is trying to add some passion to the brand, it's been missing for too long.
Now build the ft1

Yeah I meant to say body color across the grill. Not a fan the predator look of cars these days...
Feedyurhed wrote: Looks nice but what's the market on a $60-70-80K (just guessing) 2 door coupe these days?
According to the C&D article I read today they estimated it at $100k. It's competing against the $90 to $120k BMW/Mercedes range.
Pretty sure I could get over it, but the front grille style repels me.
Curious how this genre of cars is going to age. European luxury cars have developed to the point where you would be nuts to own one without a warranty of some sort. I am going to guess that the Japanese cars will be much the same by dint of the electronics in them.
