Hey Rob, is your climate control manual (3 rotating knob) or automatic (buttons disguised as knobs with a digital display)?
That changes which cabin filter, and unsurprisingly I have both.

It has an Auto A/C button, but there are three knobs that twist and display the fan speed, temp and location on the green screen at the top middle of the dash. I assume that means automatic. It also has rear A/C, but not sure if they all do. Glad to know for future reference that there's a difference. I've been trying to figure what trim level I have. I signed up on the mymazda site and it lists it as SP trim. I assume that means sport. But, sport isn't supposed to have automatic A/C or in dash 6 cd changer, I don't think. Not a huge deal, just my curiosity.

Got a photo of the climate control? That sounds like the manual version actually. The automatic was a stand-alone option on Sports.
Easiest way to confirm Sport trim is lack of sunroof. All slick-tops are Sports. Touring adds the foglights (though the wiring exists in all of them so it's an easy add), sunroof, side skirts, and rear spoiler and changes the rear taillights from all red to the blacked out LED style. Grand Touring has "leather".
The great thing is you can change just about everything on these except the roof. The tallights are a direct swap, the foglights bolt in and the wiring is in place, the body kit pieces are just add-ons, etc. You can customize to your heart's content. They are all identical on drivetrain (less manual / auto trans).
OK, sounds like I have a sport. Which is totally cool, I was just curious what it was. Not sure how much I'll customize it or not. On one hand, it's a comfortable daily driver for boring normal duties. On the other, I'm a car guy..... We'll see which one wins.
I don't have it here to take a picture, but this is what the controls look like. I think the twist dials around the controls are what you meant by buttons designed as knobs.
