I need to lubricate the locks on my e30. Best thing for the job?
Graphite? Silicone? Something else?
Bonus points: what to use on the latch assembly?

Door locks- Best stuff I've ever used. https://www.amazon.com/ACDelco-10-4020-Rust-Penetrating-Lubricant/dp/B008I2H55U
Normal flowable grease for the hinges, I liked the 3M product. https://www.amazon.com/3M-08878-Spray-Lube-oz/dp/B0002JLQ8E/ref=sr_1_1?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1496939877&sr=1-1&keywords=3M+flowable+grease
Be careful with graphite, I used some on my beater Miata's key-bendingly-bad locks a few years ago and ended up with a permanent stain in the cratered single-stage white paint which was not attractive.
Buy this, and never use anything else on any lock, automotive, commercial, or residential.
source: a very satisfied customer.
No graphite! It's not 1930 anymore.
I use Tri-Flow at work and at home, and it's good stuff.
I have used WD-40 to loosen the locks up. And later have followed up with with oil I could force past the trap door. Which is usually some sort of penetrating oil.
Also I thought I should mention that I live in a really dusty area. It's bad enough that I have to clean dust out of the screw holes in my door pull.
I found out that my work sells the ac Delco stuff and cheaper than amazon.
