I need to order a harness for the 30 day hillclimber build.
Pull up or pull down lap belts?
If hillclimber = something resembling a formula car, get yourself pull-ups. Its almost impossible to get pull-downs tight by yourself when you're in a tight cockpit.

I will disagree with one part of that thread. As a crew member on a endurance race car helping drivers get strapped in it was much better to have pull-up lap belts. Made it much easier to reach across the driver and pull up on the right belt. And with pull-up on the left you didn't have to worry about interference with door bars, cool suit connections, etc..
For the love of god go 6pt. Seen a guy walking with really bowed legs after a heavy frontal impact with a 5pt.
Thats about all I got.

agree 100%, as the guy who does the driver changes on our eduro team (when I'm not driving). Pull-up is way easier if the car is caged.

agree here too. plus 6pt is far more comfortable, with the pressure on your thighs and not on your junk for the whole time you're driving...
