Ok, here's my dilemma. I'm trying to something insane and stuff 255's under my MS3. I know 245's will fit, it's been done before. I'm already going to step down to a 17" wheel to get some additional clearance on the fenderwell itself, as well as weight loss and well, they're cheaper. Not horribly concerned with speedo calibration. What I want to know is, what is the most efficient way to measure inner clearance from say the shock tower to the inside of the wheel? Trying to juggle some numbers before I order wheels and tires and stick myself with a rub monster...... ideas?

It'll give you a general idea of how far the rim/tire will be from the inside of the wheel well.

I agree about the cheapness of it's appearance ... but if I can't design/make something I "usually" don't complain "to" much about how much I had to pay... you notice the quotes .....

Hrm. I suspect something like that could be manufactured by someone with some spare garage space fairly easily. This requires investigation.
