In reply to wbjones: I was suggesting to use a race muffler and a turn down to make the car quieter, not to put a turn down on the open exhaust and hope that he barely squeaks by the sound test. Plus, making your car loud instead of unbearable helps us keep our hearing, too.

maybe … maybe not .. but I know lots of places with sound restrictions and sound meters that will DQ you if they catch you trying to circumvent the restrictions … you don't lose that much, if any, power with a well thought out muffler system …
don't be THAT GUY … sites are becoming harder and harder to get/keep … if we want our sport to be able to continue it's up to all of us to do what it takes to keep what sites we have
