learn me: Racecar scales

Anybody have any input on what scales to get for my 2500# racecar?

I would like inexpensive and repeatable. I don't care that much how accurate the scales are as long as they are repeatable.

(Only using for corner weighing)

Best place to get used? New? Any brands to stay away from?

I would like to buy in the next few days.

Budget = $750.00 or less.

I actually did this. Repeatable is not an adjective I'd use to describe my setup.

Bottle jacks with Grassroots pressure gauges added would be where I would put my money for a GRM scale solution (but might lack the accuracy needed).

For 700$ though, I'm not sure you can beat the usability of the linked product.

There is always the 'set your car down on 4 pieces of paper and compare the tire prints' method of corner balancing. With a scanner and photo software that allows you to overlay images you could probably get close.

That's a really good idea. Some cheap pressure transducers and an arduino collecting all the data... Hmmmm...

Here's a better idea for packaging: Use 4 cheap single piston brake calipers. Already drilled for the pressure fittings, easy to build a substructure around that is much closer to flat than a bottle jack. I like your arduino idea, I might have to try this!
