So I got rid of my ugly jeep and bought a rather clean 97 silverado with only 200,560 miles on the clock. Aside from needing a set of front tires and an alignment, it's served me rather well for getting mulch and driving to and from work when I feel like spending a lot on gas. However, the other day it decided to puke all the coolant out of various gaskets around the engine. I may or may not have been running it "spiritedly" before that, but we won't tell the wife. I later filled the radiator back up with straight water and most of that poured out of the front of the motor shortly after starting it, I'm assuming from the waterpump.
I don't think it was ever significantly overheated, while it was getting close to the right side of the gauge it was never in the red, and due to the way the coolant was suddenly released from the engine it wasn't run for any length of time dry. It also immediately started back up without any odd noises or smoke out the exhaust, so I don't think I hurt anything internal. From what I've read online, it looks like I'm in for a waterpump, intake gasket set, and some new hoses at the very least, anything else I should be looking out for?
