Hey guys, I'm looking at a '92 Volvo 960 wagon that appears to be in good shape. Anything specific to watch out for? Run screaming from? How hard are they to work on (i'm used to neons and miatas)?
Owner says it overheats, they "checked some stuff" and thinks it's the headgasket. I read online that the thermostat is a pretty common issue with these, what are the odds of that?
Slim. They are not nearly as robust as the redblocks.
Arrange an opportunity with the current owner to cold start the car. (after topping off the rad/catch tank.)
If it blows white smoke....walk away..

also, they have a 30k timing belt life. I've got the same wagon with 213k. super easy to work on - even the timing belt change takes 2 hours.
if its super cheap, price out parts on rockauto & go from there :)

Thanks for the input guys!
