So I was at the auction awhile back and this forlorn Accord EX ran across the block. It was ugly but it actually appeared to run well. $300 later I was the not so proud owner.
Afterwards I had a "what was I thinking" moment. I figured worse case the 17 inch wheels, the intake, the header and the DC sport exhaust were worth more then I paid. Lets see where this takes us...
How does this even happen...
Some more outside pictures...
Total spent so far $300.00 + $80.00 Auction fee = $380.00

I made a trip to the junk yard and picked up two seats for $21.50 each. I also picked up a shift boot for $3.00.
JDM Yo!
Center console lid...
Where do I find a piece of leather to fix the center console lid. Oh yeah the map pocket on the back of the blown out original seat.
A little 3M adhesive spray.
Some binder clips, learned this from GRM tech tips.

Have you figured in the change and dime bags you found as a return to budget?
Is this car a plasti-dip candidate?
I'm kind of wanting this one. Makes me wish I could have taken my friend's 5th gen V6 for an engine swap before he scraped it.
Once the exterior is addressed this will be a pretty nice car.
I want. For no reason other than challenge car.
That SEM stuff looks amazing
If anyone wants it for a challenge car or otherwise, let me know. I have no affinity towards it and i would like to see someone rescue it from its inevitable purchase by a broke ricer when I am finished with it
I only have about three hours of work in it at this point so i am not really invested so to speak.
Drivers seat installed...
Ghetto fix for hole in rear seat, don't laugh it is much better then it was and it was free.

Thats what i had in mind. I think at this low price point and given the more then likely potential future owner that is the most cost effective option.

Purple power, a medium bristle brush and a towel.

No drugs were found in the vehicle, they must have taken their stash before they sold the car.
I did find $1.64 in change. I guess I should deduct that from the budget.
I'll talk to my inlaws, that is a perfect first car for my 17 y.o. Brother in law.

What about a rustoleum roller-coat paint job? Just mix rustoleum 50:50 with mineral spirits and roll on. Do many coats. You should be able to prime, fill, and paint for less than the cost of plastidip.

I agree, but the amount of work is much higher. I have to balance time spent with cost.
Why can't all cops be this awesome?
They are to busy harassing people. I should actually probably get to work instead of posting on here

How many bazillion miles were on this thing???
My last beater was a 2000 Civic DX sedan that I parted with at 211k miles and the interior was still immaculate. I don't know how someone could ruin a car like that.
I love the before/afters. You'll definitely make money on this.
