Your best source for info is sccoa.com. I can get as specific as you want, but the short version is they're relatively cheap, make good torque, and respond well to mods. Yeah, they're heavy, too. Mine is one of the lightest streetable ones I know of, and it's still 3430 lbs. 5-speeds are available but less common, especially in 94-95.

A common assumption, but no. They're on their own platform with almost no Mustang parts commonality. Unequal length control arms front and rear, unique top end for the 3.8, different transmission, etc.
