That one seems a bit of overkill for a daily driver. As much as I would love to do a track day, commuting is all the seat time I get lately. Haven't even autoxed/rallyxed in several years.

I'll eat my hat. If it's not available as OeM, it's definitely available as an upgrade. Trust me. I own one.
Rear hatch without a rusty hole where it used to say Celica.
I wanted to buy a 944, right up until I saw that a replacement clutch kit costs as much as a beater Focus.
The thing about them is when running correctly they are fantastic cars. One of a handful of cars that really are more than the sum of its parts.
Step up to a turbo or a s2 and you are talking one of the best cars for the money in the 80s and they still hold there own today in both the performance and looks.
This is a Porsche not a ford. It is like complaining you can get 5 big mac's for the same price you would pay for a nice steak dinner.

Don't get me wrong, I love 944s, I just know that you can't buy and run a Porsche on a Mustang, or even a C4 budget.
These cars really don't take kindly to sitting. I would try to find one that someone who knows about these cars has been driving.
Although seems like most people who drive them aren't selling them.
To anyone who wants one, definitely watch the 924 board and Pelican Parts forum.
Another vote up for Pelican--good board for tips and used cars. Jed--if you are serious I have 1987 Gold 944 with 136K that needs a clutch for $1500GRM price. I am in Springfield, if you don't remember. I have a used clutch kit that still has some life on it if you are interested..

I remember.
That is a smoking deal but this is where the lack of courage part comes in...
Did you have a thread on this one a while back?
Is it a Base, S or Turbo?
You'll need to log in to post.
