That corner must sneak up on you. Lots of panicking and locking up the brakes.

I love it, and doesn't make me cringe one bit. People with exotics who drive the hell out of them get full respect from me, even if they may crash them. I only like to look at cars when they're doing what they were built to do.

People who have exotics and keep them polished with a diaper so they can cruise the strip and go to Cars and Coffee meets.....that sounds like a waste of a car to me.

The best part is how all the drivers just put it in reverse and get back on the road and keep going. That said, I'm thinking they need some adjustment on the stage notes, lol.

My all time favorite Ferrari...

They could be grandathered in AC/Autokraft Cobra's.

I doubt that they would mix cars like that. I feel pretty confident that they're legit Cobras.

I meant that they are probably COB/COX cars, not the ones built for the States by Shelby.

At the end of that video i was thinking "I guess it would ruin the spirit of the whole thing if they all had ABS and not a single one of them wrecked their cars, eh? What a boring video that would be!".

Lots of eye openers in that one. Seems that silly amounts of money does not automatically make you a driving god...who knew?!

The poor white Jag looks like it is toast; the door no longer fit and they left driving over the front valence.

The Citroen MS really surprised me; ran straight into the rock, backed up and drove off with hardly a dent in the bumper.

The camera guys knew when someone was about to crash you can hear the one guy yelling "coming in hot" at one point.

When they push a few out of the ditch yu can hear the exchange between the driver and the pushers "No big deal" "Give 'er!" Hardly an excited driver in the lot.

Why did someone leave their kit bag in the one spot they kept running up into?

Thanks for the video, was fun to watch.

Yeah, seeing the 'breadvan' surprised me. The Jag that got bent hurt to see, but on the bright side most stuff for them can be sourced reasonably easily.

Fun video to watch. About halfway through I could hear how hot some were coming in before they appeared and found myself cringing.

The breadvan Ferrari was an eye opener, but for some reason, the fire spitting Merc at the beginning was the coolest for me. And I don't generally like Merc's.

When the tires are locked up, you can't turn. How about you release the pedal a bit and adjust the position of the car?

I found it funny the guys in the Alfa's did a much better job of managing the recovery than the more expensive rides did.

I thought the Alfas generally sounded like they were coming in the fastest, but seemed to be generally the most under control through the corner.

Guessing there was no recce and the pace notes must've underestimated the turn a bit.

Here's some more of the same event: More

Some lovely Ferrari 275s, a Porsche 904, a Pantera and much, much more. Something for everyone. The sound of the Porsche 906 makes me wish mine was finished. Footage of the left turn of doom begins around 17:30 and generally shows most people doing it right, or at least not as bad.

Tour Auto features some of the nicest vintage race cars in Europe as well as some serious professional drivers; the guys in the video in those "low buck" E-types were obviously hobbyists. Gotta love people flogging 10 to 40 million dollar cars!!!!!!
