Well dang, wish I would've known earlier. I was sitting in the Admiral Club at CLT same time.

Sleep when you can.
Ohio Troopers are not a particularly humorous bunch.

I made it to One Lap! Cell service has been spotty, so I'll post some photos below. We adjusted the front and rear toe for tomorrow's autocross and skidpad, and are calling it a night.

For those not familiar, today's morning event is a wet skid pad competiton.
This is Tire Rack's facility in South Bend, IN right off the Indiana Turnpike. National HQ offices and warehouse....and track.
The competition is held on just the most center circle. The track has an elaborate sprinkler system. Not to water the grass but rather to water the asphalt!
The competition is 2 rounds left followed immediately by two rounds right. Today, as the first event, every competitor has the most tread they are going to have. The final event of One Lap is back here, but being the end, now with worn tires. That last event is intended to be a dry skid pad...unless it rains.
It should be noted, that like all One Lap events the 2 left and 2 right are both counted. There are no "throw outs" or "warm ups" for this event.

different, but still the best company

In yesterday's Live Video from the parking lot. This MG is covered at the 24 minute mark. It is the replacement vehicle for a team that intended to campaign a GT40 replica. All that is said is Ford Small Block and 5 speed manual.
Also notable in the video are:
37 min mark, Turbo and/or Supercharged Toyota Corollas.
42 min mark, Rambler wagon

really cool to see Katie getting to run her own car! Any word on how much of the competitive driving she's going to be doing?
