Good morning! We're on the road to Nelson Ledges today.
First run group is lining up! We're now onto the "real" One Lap: Each team gets one out lap, then three laps from a standing start. Each of those is timed, and every time counts. There's no room for error at the front of the field.
Almost time for our first session; Andy is going to go out first as he's been here before, and this session will set the run order for the rest of the week. Here's our target: the factory-backed Camry.
Light rain just started, which means a mad dash to the line in order to gain advantage. Andy just joined the car pile.
Nelson's Ledges was the first track I ever ran, back in the late '90's. It was pretty rough back then, both pavement and facilities wise but was less than 45 minutes from my apartment. Good luck!
Nice to see Seth again, I miss reading his posts here...
Let's see if FB imbed works...
if not, here's a link to pictures from the official OneLap photographers: Driftpoint Media from day 1.
First session went well--we ended up with something like a 1:21 average. Next group starts at noon, so I'll see if I can beat that.

I started my motorsports life here in 2001. You wouldn't recognize it, there is like running water and stuff. And the track has been repaved.
There are some interesting bobbles in the pavement entering T1 and also on the inside - saw some of the first cars get a little dicey. Evora throwing sparks on corner entry like a F1 car
Hearing some of the stories from people here is fun, too. And a SAAB just got towed in on trailer, gtg
this morning's timing and scoring is getting uploaded currently:

And the MG, he said he ran a 1:22
Cars are on track now, and I'm psyching myself up to drive a completely unfamiliar track, in the rain, without a practice session. One Lap, everybody!
