Came up in my search for a car. I know nothing about them.

Wikipedia sez it do...
They had a very brief run. Meant to compete against the IS250. I'd be worried about parts availability. Not really sure what the point is, especially now when many 4 cylinders are within spitting distance of the same power with much better fuel economy. I guess if you want to pull the badges off and have a cheater luxury car??
The G25 debuted shortly after the G37. Generally a decontented G-series so few options and built to a price point. An attempt to spur some sales to customers who wanted a cheaper way to get into a "lux" car. The 2.5L is a V6 and not to be confused with the 2.5L 4cyl that Nissan offers in vehicles such as the Altima. This 2.5L V6 is/was only offered in this brief-run Infiniti.
I also think a lot of these G25's started as rental cars.

Parts availability is probably the same as a G35 or G37 save for displacement-specific internal engine components.
I was today years old when I found out about the VQ25. I am a fan of small-mid displacement sixes, wonder how cheaply they can be found...
Edit: Fairly cheaply indeed. From the pics it looks just like the rear drive VQ35/37 as far as accessory drive and weird two throttle body intake manifold is concerned. Hmm. If the cams are smaller, I bet a set of VQ37 cams would wake one right up.
Bore and stroke is 85x73.3. For reference an RB26 is 86x73.7. I am suddenly quite interested.
