I went to the local cruise-in tonight. About 60 cars with the usual bunch of muscle cars, street rods, rat rods, antiques, etc. The thing I like about this cruise-in is the fact that you might see anything there. I saw more Saturn Sky's (3) tonight than I had ever seen before.

But there were some cars that were a little different.

All original unmolested

Something for the "semi-exotic" lovers

And for the P71 -9C1 guys, You are all a little slow getting on the bandwagon. The owner bought this in 1991 with 150K miles on it. He used it as his DD until 2007. It now has 378K on the odo, but that was broke for a while so mileage is probably over 400K. Has had the trans rebuilt once but is still on the original engine

Where was this in MD? Looks like I missed a fun show...

Is it every weekend?

This one is at the Fredericktowne Mall in Frederick. It is the smallest of the 4 in the Central MD area, usually 50 or so cars. It is held on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month. I usually go to this one since it's only 5 min from the house.

There is one at the Jimmy Cone in Mt Airy, MD on the 1st and 3rd Saturday. There are usually 100 to 200 cars and it seems to be slanted toward the more modern stuff. Lots of Vettes, Mustangs and Vipers.

There are two in Hagerstown. At the Long Meadow Shopping Center on the 1st and 3rd Saturday. I have never been to this one as it just started in the last couple years.

The big one is at the Valley Mall just off I-81 in Hagerstown on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays. This one has been going on for 10 or so years and usually draws 200 to 300 cars of all types.

Anytime you want to go to one send me a mesage and we could meet up.

What is that black roadster? Looks like some sort of panoz.

Indeed, before the Esperante, there was the Panoz Roadster. To me, its a bit awkward in proportions (like the prowler), but its fairly fast (4.5 0-60 with the SVT Cobra engine) and hit rodderesque.

You have no idea how badly I want to molest all three of those cars.

IIRC the panoz roadster was pretty much just a mustang chassis with that sexy body on it. I'd rock one in a second.

Also, lol at that awesomely flat bench in the 9C1

The Panoz was not a naked Fox chassis, but the engine and drivetrain were part of the package.

While I'm not a big Wiki proponent, this is a pretty good review of the car:

There was a Panoz at our track day 2 weeks ago. It ran in my group. I figgered that if I only got lapped by it once, I was doing really well.

Nice. I want to cruise over there from Baltimore in the E38 for giggles now that it sounds and looks kind a musclecar-ish...
