Agreed.

Sacrilege!

Agreed as well. Looked at it and said, meh. I don't think the 911 is an ugly car, it's just not a very exciting car. They all look the same.
Porsche fan here ->
If it were uncool and under $5000, GRM forumistas would be all over it. We are the greasy equivalent of automotive hipsters over here.
Since we have to hate on it...I guess I'll go with the aluminum straps over tempered rear glass...but that's reaching. That's a sexy car.
Ubiquitous does not equal hate. If there's anyone I hate, it's all the overly-well-heeled fanboi-come-latelys who have bid up the prices.

I have no hate or love for Porsche 911s. Maybe if someone let me drive theirs on a race track for an hour or two, I'd change my mind. As far as Porsche racecars go, the one in the original post is alright, but this one is much more beautifuller.

I can't help it! I don't like how the old air cooled Porsches look. I respect the hell out of them, and what they are capable of though. Truth is though, I like more Porsches than I do Ferrari and Lamborghini combined. 924, 944, Cayman, Carrera GT, 918 vs Dino, F550, and Miura.
And before you ask, I was born in 83. No, I do not know what went wrong with me.
But this....unf, this...
I had a 1/32 scale slot set as a kid in the 70's with the Gregg Porsche, and the Bob Sharp Datsun. I'm much more partial to the Datsun.
