So I am getting pretty tired of the '00 Insight. It gets good mpgs but I hate driving it. It doesn't have enough power to pull itself up some of the hills on my commute without a 3rd gear run and burning some eletrons and it isn't exactly roomy.
Anyway, I found a 2007 Fusion 4 cly manual with 166k miles that is black on black leather (with red piping, woohoo!) with a slipping clutch. The guy says that it should be easy to drive home (90 miles) and that it is a really decent car that he grabbed at auction and just doesn't have time to fix. Includes a new clutch. I have a few pictures but overall it looks alright. The interior looks good except for a cig burn in the drivers seat but he has assured me that it doesn't smell like cigs. Anything in particular that I should be looking for?
Thanks, Jordan

Ha ha, I saw that but it definitely isn't what I am looking for.
I have nothing to add on the fusion front. How much you looking to get for that insight?
Well it has had new batteries in 2012 and new tires this year and it has 90k miles on it. It is the Citrus Yellow (Lime green) color with a manual trans. I would figure I will list it for 6700 but a GRMer gets a Buy it now of 6K.
Damn, I like the idea of a 5-speed Fusion.
I REALLY like the idea of a sub $3k car that I might not hate to drive and still gets decent mpgs
Maybe it's just an optical illusion, but it looks like it will need tires very soon.
The only thing I notice from the pic is a huge gap between the pass fender & hood plus paint that seems too nice looking to be from 2007.
While manual trans Fusions seem to be rare I found 3 of them on dealers lots back in 2012 when I was looking for a DD for my mother to replace her 1995 Taurus.
Well, this one was a giant pile of E36 M3. Cig burns everywhere, wouldn't go into 1st, interior door handle was broke, tires were all bald, parking brake sensor was failing, and the rear bumper was cracked from a hit. I told him I didn't want it and he said make me an offer, I offered 1500 and he countered at 1800. I still said no and left. I am surprised by the 700 drop though. I will keep looking I guess.
