So this weekend I had to extract the end of a bolt broken off in a knuckle and found myself using my off-brand rotary tool with some carbide bits to cut it out. My tool had lots of power and the bits easily were cutting into the bolt, the problem was the collet. As soon as the bit would start to dig in at all it would migrate out of the tool even with the collet as tight as possible.

Is there a brand that has a better collet for holding 1/8" bits? Do all of them rely on some flimsy locking button and a little wrench?

It's not a tool I often but when I do need it I don't want to fight it.
