Once upon a time there was an epic 240Z thread. It was about a 240Z that was shipped to Findland or Sweden and was based around a major rustoration and engine swap.

There were several videos done about the work and then it stopped.

Does anyone have any inside info on what became of this project?

I seem to remember this, too...I remember some beautiful work being done, but not a finished product.

This is an excellent question. The linked videos only go to #20, and I saw that years ago...No piant, no motor, just a caged roller at that point.

Funny, but it seems that very few of the epic build threads ever come to completion.

I was hoping that perhaps the video talent was gone, but that the car was completed and maybe someone here knew the backstory. .

I knew someone here would have an answer! Thanks. I did not get around to translating the last post, but it looks like it will be a while at the new pace. Priorities do change.

I guess that would make them not epic.

Irony here is that I maintain a similar thread and am guilty of the same thing...the bugeye is on year 9 and I am not not going to make it to the road before spring.

Another build that comes to mind is the one a few years ago on the alfabb where a guy was stuffing a SBF into a Spider. My suspicion is it came to a screeching halt when he realized his frame design would put the driver's thighs somewhere around the middle of the doors.

That whole "epic build not finished" thing has kept me from even thinking about starting one for my 1800ES. I plan to document the build, but when I post it, it means the car is done.
