Yeah...but can it serve soccer mom duties...I doubt it!

I'm going to go out on a limb and say it is probably pretty fast with an LS7....

Couldn't they get four of the same wheels?

I want one!

Um, Ultima GTR, can handle engines up to 1000 HP, can be built cheaper, same weight, wider tires, true DIY...

It's odd but this looks alot like the Ultima...

Still cool though, but I still think there are better options out there...

Ultima GTR with BMW V12, Hotter Cam, ITB's, and a Porsche tranny = my lottery car

Why is "Extrema" photoshopped on in one of the photos? And it also looks like the wheels match in the other picture. Weird.

Ironically, the Ultima GTR was the test mule for the McLaren F1.

OK--we're missing a MAJOR detail about this thing:

the Extrema can be had with almost any GM-supplied V8, ranging from two LS3s producing either 420 or 500 hp, the 520-hp LS7 or the Corvette ZR1's 638-hp, supercharged LS9.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I mean, in a 1800lb chassis, it probably borders on useless, but still--if it hooked up, aren't we dipping into the 9's in the 1/4?!

Cripes...

A Superlight variant is also available, weighing in at 1,650 pounds and equipped with either a 2.6- or 3.4-liter V8

Who makes a 2.6l V8? Or a 3.4 for that matter...don't suppose it would be the SHO engine?

Strikes me as a typo--like they meant to write V6.

...or they're using an engine from an Alfa Montreal.

A little more digging reveals....UK Garage offers a lighter option as of version 750 kg Superlight. This model features a compact V8 engine displacing between 2.6 and 3.4L and the output of between 360 and 450hp.

Cool.

Bingo.

Probably the Powertec, not the 2.8l Hartley that everyone else is likely thinking of.

That 's the only other plausible/relevant one that google came up with...
