Count me in the group who just don't "get" the appeal of the city street races with ZERO runoff space and lined with Jersey barriers (or similar).  When I run racing simulators, I absolutely hate those races.  If I won the Powerball tomorrow and took up gentleman racing for E36 M3s and giggles, I'd skip anything that took place in a city like this.  Give me a purpose built race track every single time.

Yeah, me too.  I watched Jim Fitzgerald die on the street circuit at St. Petersburg, and that was enough to turn me off to that kind of track permanently.

Every time I watch Indycars run super speedways, I cringe.  Robert Wickens made a very small error in judgement at Pocono, and will be in a chair for the rest of his life.  Chainlink catchfences, high speeds and open wheel cars just don't go together for me.  This Macau crash shared a lot of characteristics with Wickens crash.

A street circuit doesn't have to be horrible, although most of them are either too restricted, too hard to pass, or some combination of the two.  Long Beach can actually put on a pretty entertaining show, but I wish there were more Road Atlanta's and Mid Ohio's to choose from.

I always recall this one.  Martin Donnelly at Jerez.  Warning, graphic with a body laying on the track.  He survived and is fine now although it ended his carrier.
