That's exactly what I was expecting. Years ago, I was driving to Imogene Pass when I saw the sign for the Black Bear Road. I had no choice, I had to take it. And I used a big rock under the tire when I stopped for pictures.
Color me impressed. 4 minutes of that? Surprisingly not completely terrible either. Love the accents.
Yea, he's not happy.
Excellent video for being a home made piece.
Wonder if Jeep might find itself "inspired" to suddenly be able to help him.

The video made the front page on reddit and had 150K views when I posted it. It now has 800K views, that was is a difference of 8 hours. I'm sure FCA's media team already knows. I'll bet he's at 2million by the end of the day.
I know my company responds fast to twitbook posts. etc.
The biggest part of the guys dissatisfaciton is that there are no lemon laws in Australia. If they had a lemon law like in the US, his vehicle would have been bought back... easy as pie.
Bump!
Frankly, it's unconscionable for you Eco-Goons to blather on about VW's alleged sins and let this example of corporate sleaze quietly fade from the front page. Besides, it's got a good beat and you can dance to it!
I about choked when he said $60k. It wasn't until the service advisor part that I realized those were vegemite bucks.
Ill echo the above statements. Its actually well done and catchy. I cant complain.
Maybe there can be a CD done like this with all different makes of cars ?
Hey, it better then that damn Renegade song. I am getting pretty tired of hearing that every 5 minutes!!
What gets me is that Jeep runs that commercial / song on repeat for months on end then other outlets (e.g. news bumpers) actually play the song as if it's a top ten song that everyone want to here!!
In reply to aircooled:
Yes, dear god yes. I want to find whoever sings that damn song and run them down in my XJ.
"I say hey,
hey, hey, hey
Ran you down in my Cherokaay"

"You don't have to be crazy to drive this road, but it helps." I saw a picture of Black Bear Road once. That statement is true.
Did you make it to Telluride?
Most C. W. McCall songs can be found on a map, if you have some sort of idea of the general area.
Of course I made it to Telluride Although the fact that my Rover has a single-line brake system that I built myself popped into my head once or twice. The scariest part is just before the switchbacks, IIRC, where you have a very narrow, off-camber trail running across a waterfall with nothing to land on for a long time. This picture was taken just before that.
I have also driven Wolf Creek Pass and taken the Silverton train. I also smile every time I stop at a Conoco station, which last happened about 15 minutes ago. C.W. McCall (aka Billy Fries) was actually the mayor of Ouray - basically the start of the Black Bear Road - for a while and still lives there. He loves this country.
