In reply to Spearfishin : did you end up doing the swap? I am in the process of doing a TR6060 swap on my 2017 Silverado 5.3.

Nope, unfortunately not. Still just bucking our way to the trash collection site every weekend. Would love to swap it one day, but it's not been anywhere near the top of the every growing project list. How far have you made it towards swapping yours?

Ford/GM powertrain collab is the current 10 speeds. Both are surprising in their failures considering it's a joint venture.
funny to see where the failures are among the two based on on their own interpretation to the design but both are awful at software programming.
In reply to Spearfishin : I am in the final stages. Already installed the transmission (pretty easy install, only had to cut and modify the cross member since the TR6060 trans mount is about 3 inches further back) , went with a sonnax 800+ HP performance two piece custom driveshaft with custom cross member, Ram concept 10.1 dual disk clutch kit, JEGS transmission fluid cooler, installed a universal Wilwood universal clutch pedal assembly with a remote reserve ( straight forward install, had to drill a hole Through the fire wall right under the brake booster so remote mounted reserve was the only option, also had to fabricate a bracket to support the clutch pedal since the fire wall is thin and had a lot of movement. I did had to relocate a module that was sitting right under the brake pedal, is was not very difficult since the wires were long enough) had to fabricate a remote shifter since I plan to keep the center console. Did the wiring for the trans.
the only issue I have at the moment is that the truck is in limp mode since it doesn't see the transmission. I did some research and seems like I have to do some ECM work and tell it to ignore the transmission.
and that's where I am at, it has been difficult trying to find any information about how to proceed since I believe no one has done a manual swap in a 5th gen truck.
I'll keep working on it and keep you guys updated.
In reply to JossSin :
With HPTuners you can perform a segment swap with a manual trans truck to eliminate the limp mode .
In reply to Ranger50 :
Thanks for the response, working with the HPT is what I meant by doing some work with the ECM.
thing is I can't find a good recommendation for a good HPT tuner near me, I live in Dallas Tx, I've talked to some people and some say there are some good ones but some say not to go to them because they aren't that experienced doing that long of segment swaps.
In reply to JossSin :
I'd try Greg Adams in Missouri for a mail order tune for that segment swap. Met him at PRI via his TikTok page. Cool dude.
In reply to JossSin :
I know nothing about the guy, but this appears to be his site. Good luck with the swap. It sounds cool!
