An empty dumpster weighs close to 600lbs, so that's not the best thing to use as a car body...

You're seriously attempting to apply logic to this picture? Besides, they race motorhomes and class 8 tractors, and this is something you don't have to worry about damaging.

Roadster-Dumpster? Looks like British Racing Green.

If that ran on recycled vegetable oil...

Just a shade weirder than a Zamboni

I designed a few dumpsters during another "career," I can't say I'd want to take any kind of impact while inside one. Dumpster building is a cut throat business, super thin profit margins, bottom dollar, thinnest material you can get away with, and the bare minimum structure required to lift and dump.

Dumpster lids make excellent sleds though.

I like the sides better than the ones on the Catfish

I'm pretty sure this picture is in the for sale area at one of the Goodguys shows at a NASCAR track. Charlotte, maybe.

Anyway, it's just the natural evolution of the rat rod.

Somehow I doubt if this is OSHA approved.

Well, the good news is that it's real wheel drive. Rather elegant effort if you ask me.

I have no doubt that it would get infinitely more looks and comments at the local cruise than all the '68 camaro's in attendance (I like '68 Camaro's, BTW).

someone was probably digging inside it looking for stupid crap to weld onto their rat rod, and decided just to make it into one.. except it doesn't have a flathead in it, so it's just a poser..
