It's like every mile away from Gainesville changes a Miata's price by $1. North is +$1, South is -$1.

That would explain why cheap ones in Ohio are $1200-$1500.

That's not a bad deal, is it? Beat out the dents, gut the thing, and call it a race car. As long as the frame is straight, it should be pretty good, right?

Over the last couple of years our Local Challenge crew has bought:

$900 1990 complete, with some chipping paint (white)

$900 High mile straight and complete 1991

$500 failed V8 swap 1990 beater with 302

$1000 gaudy and needing top but running 1992

$1000? 1.8 swap 1991 with flat black paint and hardtop

$1500? Turbo 1991

$400 1991 needing top and new carpet.

5 years ago I bought a nice daily 1991 with about 150k miles for $1500.

The question marks are cars that I don't remember the exact price.

Basically, Miatae are cheaper in the south. We have seriously considered a Miata resale business where we buy them here and haul them north. What have you guys got up there that we could bring back down?

Here in Wisconsin there is no shortage of:

Cheese, Brats, Beer, Stars and Bars flags, Bears, Democrats, Unemployment, Deer, Corrupt Governors.

Take your pick I'm sure we can work out a deal for any of these.

Just called about it. It's gone.

However, if anyone has a cheap miata they'd be interested in swapping for some motorcycle projects and/or a motored bike let me know.

What kind of price do you think you could find down there?

$1000-$1500 with little to no effort for an early 90's 1.6.
