Ok, so I have Miatae that are suitable, from a budget standpoint, for the challenge. The wife has agreed that I can participate, but wants the car to be hers when I am done. This means that it has to look at least decent. So, lots of little pieces that are only available through Mazda will need to be purchased. Since I autocross the car, and belong to the SCCA, I am eligible to join Mazda Motorsports for parts at a reduced price. Can I budget the parts at the price I pay (including shipping), or would I have to use MSRP?
Hopefully I can get a consensus on that. Some would consider it a sponsorship (though anyone with a Mazda is eligible to join, so long as they intend to compete).

Mazda Motorsports will let you join if you are building a car for competition, so if you are building a challenge car, you are eligible for that pricing. I cant see how it would be a problem.
Since it's available to everyone who competes with their car - and the Challenge is a competition, right? - I don't see the problem. Mazda's very free with that membership.
Of course, it's up to the GRM guys. I'm just some dude on the internets with an opinion. Ping them.

Anybody who can use those parts is eligible for the same program. You're good to go for using Mazdaspeed pricing.
