The same kind of BS that is putting appliance repair places out of business.

Always wanted the RX8 I now have and that was honestly the ONLY reason I traded the MS3 for it, took many trips from Baltimore to Maine with no issues to speak of whilst still getting around 33mpg (staying out of boost) only issue you might have with ergonomics is on the 1st gen is it might get tight on the right side after a while (odd but all Mazda 3's were a bit tight on the shifter side of the dash for the driver) and the seats were amazing.
Would definitely get another, like others have said HPFP pin, turbo, motor mounts, struts would be the areas you need to look at closely.

You mean... the Internet lied to me???
Great. Just great. Now I'm going to spend too much time looking for a non-sunroof Mazdaspeed6.
Corksport is actively creating a higher flow set as well, or at least they've hinted at it. I wouldn't worry too much about it.
Plus there's about to be a new tuning option in the form of Versatune, so the platform will be free of Cobb shortly as well.

If a MS3 is too much torques steer, you might want to consider hitting the gym. You can clearly afford it.
Brett_Murphy wrote: What's wrong with Cobb? I thought GRM had some good luck using Cobb in their MS3.
Cobb removed access for all but protuners to Accesstuner. If you want to do any tuning yourself you are required to get their certification as a protuner.
Cobb claims it'll come back in the future but I wouldn't hold my breath.
Edit: To be clear the Accessport isn't a bad product. I have a V3 and its format is compact and powerful. I just can't adjust the maps on the car anymore by myself. This does happen from time to time such when I installed the 3 inch intake rather than the stock 2.65" intake for which all the OTS maps are setup.
If I were buying a 5k car I'd sure as hell be trying to tune it myself especially if it were my spare.
The funny thing is, if you look at Cobb's AccessPort dyno plots for DISI engines, the output is nearly identical for stock vs. tuned.
Yes, I understand this is a fuel pump issue. But still, I find it funny that they seemingly put data on their site that says "Our product is worthless!"

You mean like this one? http://inlandempire.craigslist.org/cto/5760556115.html
In reply to thatsnowinnebago:
Yes, except not modified, which generally means I am looking at dealership listings. That car would need $3-4k in parts to return to stock, in the engine bay alone.
Haven't seen speed3s that low near me yet. I see speed6s occasionally near the 7 or 8k mark, but they generally need a bit of work. Solid examples of either generally go for 10-12k, if not more.

But the market is gonna crash even faster as more get bought for cheap and devalue the rest.
Knurled,
I'll sell you my sunroof-free 2007 MazdaSpeed6 Grand Touring. Velocity red mica, 142k miles, no rust, 6th gear rumbles below 80 mph, located in Detroit, $7000. I have no need of a sedan this big.

If the Volvo E36 M3s the bed this weekend and I end up having to figure a way of trailering it home, I may be sending you PM after some consultation with my bank's loan officer...
