SWMBO just let me know she's having brake problems on her Fit. Given the symptoms & mileage it probably needs a new master cylinder(the pedal slowly goes to the floor but usually comes back if you pump it, and the car has ~155k on it).
Does anyone know of a good/trustworthy mechanic in the Biloxi/Gulfport area she could take the car to?
I've had good luck with asking at auto parts stores.

That's a good idea. however the problem is she's down there and I'm still up in IL. I guess I could call down there to a few parts places and ask, but I'm not sure they'd be as candid with their answer over the phone as they would be in person.
I think we have some members down in that area, hopefully one of them has some places I can call for her.

Man I haven't been down there much after after Katrina so I don't even know who all is still down there. Give Biloxi auto repair a try.

Thanks! I'll try to find them!!!
Edit: Just had a chance to Google them - there's a "Biloxi Auto Repair" on 1st street(it says "directly behind the The Grand/Harrah's casino"). Does that sound like the place? There are 3-reviews: 2 are 5-star, and the 3rd says they're a bunch of crooks...seems pretty typical of web reviews.

That's them. Give them a call and you can learn a little bit about someone's services by how they talk. And tell your wife what to look for after they do the work (squishy brake pedal, used looking parts or other sketchy stuff ya know).

Awesome, I'll call them this week. Thanks again!
