Mobile site popups?

Just in the last few days I've started getting little popups requesting reviews and opinions when using the forum on mobile. Theres a little floaty smiley face thing that floats in the lower corner all the time. These are really annoying. I even tried stepping through the multistep opinion survey that it launches but IT WON'T GO AWAY.

Hmm. I'm on an android phone.  I might chalk it up to some sort of malware but some of the opinions requested seemed very specific to the site. Lemme grab a screen shot of the smiley thing.

See it? It takes a second to show up but then it's always on top of every forum page.

I've been getting one that comes up from the bottom.  Sounds like the same kind of survey.

On Android.  Not consistent but occasionally.

I haven't experienced that or anything since the big red feedback tab that was on the right of the screen last week. 

Tom said it was fixed in the rant thread and I haven't seen it since.

Do mobile browsers support extensions?

Not a fan of web browsing on a Mobile so not much knowledge.

I'm getting it on my desktop at bottom of page.

Just showed up on mine too.

I knew it would not be long before pop-up blockers were defeated.....

It's a widget that is hard coded into the page? It doesn't seem to call an external URL like popups do.

I got one. I answered the poll and then clicked no to volunteering any additional information. I haven't seen it since.

Addblock makes a browser for Android that works fairly well. If it sticks around you might try that. 

This survey smiley face is almost as bad as Clippy the helpful Microsoft paperclip. I'm about ready to quit the forum for a week until this all blows over, but I'm not sure I can quit cold turkey like that.

Well, at least it ain't just me. If IRS some sort of malware, it's only targeting this site. I havent seen it anywhere else.

Dont worry, not malware or anything. Just a survey widget that’s supposed to target a very small percentage of users, but doesn’t seem to be displaying correctly on mobile (it shouldn’t be intrusive like that). I’ll get it straightened out.
